Ride to Remember 2013

Hello again!  I haven't been on here in many moons!  I have several sorry excuses as to why, but none of them are really worth mentioning at the moment.  Suffice to say, life has been busy and blogging, or rather writing in general, has not been high on my priority list.

My dear friend (and cousin), Lacy Grant, has picked up her pen (or perhaps keyboard) again recently to record her progression and trials as an up-and-coming athlete, which has, in turn, re-inspired and motivated me to also return to my creative solace of pen and paper.  That, plus the reemergence of the Alzheimer's Association's annual Ride to Remember which always gets my wheels spinning again.  (Pun intended.)

I think I will record the events of this year's ride again as I did my first year because, painstaking as it was to recall so many details, it is worth it to be able to go back and read it to remember.  Isn't that what we are ultimately trying to do anyway?  Remember?

"Only be careful and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live.  Teach them to your children and to their children after them."
Deuteronomy 4:9
